Versionism is one of the last tragedies of the Christian Church. We
no longer have one recognised Bible, we have a multiplying number of different versions none of which is said to be final.
Bible publishers will no doubt continue to take the merchandising opportunities in the Battle for the Bible, while Christians
and local churches will continue to choose their own Bible.
Many have rejected the certainty of a promised preserved word of God, for the uncertainties of
evolving versions based upon the changing opinions of modern scholarship. They have sold their spiritual birthright for a
mess of modern version pottage.
